Flying Adventures

When I was in grade school, my next door neighbor had a big pile of sheet metal delivered to his house, and a set of blue prints.  For the next 3 years, I would sneak over and help him hold parts as he would rivet them together.  He formed that sheet metal into a beautiful Mustang II experimental airplane and I enjoyed greatly flying with him in that plane. J.B. died winter of 2007, and there is not a day, I don't think about him flying above us and how much he brought an amazing experience to my life.   Now, it's my turn to take the controls of a plane and take to the skies and become a certified private pilot.  I'm hoping to start the course very soon...

The Adventures In Flight Begin....

During my recent trip to Florida, I took my wildest adventure yet, to fly the North American T-6 (aka Texan Trainer).  I just didn't fly this awesome bad boy, I got to do fly some aerobatics.  Here are some of the pictures of my flight.  I also have so videos that were taken by the onboard and wing camera that really show how awesome the flight was.

Preflight Inspection:

Learning how to use my Parachute, incase I would have to bail out in flight.  Oh, I loved when he told me to jump out hard, so I clear the tail, haha.

My Next Adventures:

#1 - Flying the Russian L-39 Military Jet at just shy of Mach 1!  I made a new online friend that buys and refurbishes these aircraft...  He has said he can take me up, do a little aerobatics and that I can have some stick time!  Can you say, EXCITED?  LOL  So, I hope to get a flight later this year!  (Crossing fingers)

#2 - Even though costs are too high to own/pilot a helicopter, I want to take some flight lessons on one, just to mark it off my lists of things I have always wanted to do.
